These are children hanging around in the studio of some of the Brücke painters. The girl, Franzi, was a muse of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and portrayed in many of his paintings. Including my favourite one.

The Son of the Sheikh

Rudolph Valentino, one of the most famous actors in the silent movie era. He was considered so handsome and attractive, that many women fainted in the movie theaters watching his most successful movie "The Son of the Sheikh". After his sudden death, many female fans committed suicide. Those were true fans, back in the days!
